Jennifer D. Hower, Esq., a partner at Herman Katz LLP, has been selected as an award winner in the 2024 Veterans’ Awards program by the Town of Oyster Bay. This recognition is given to outstanding residents who have shown exceptional dedication and service to the veteran community.

Ms. Hower served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate with the United States Air Force, both on active duty and as a reserve officer. During her service, she prosecuted criminal matters on behalf of the United States and managed military justice and environmental issues. Her distinguished military career has significantly contributed to her ability to support and advocate for veterans.

The Veterans’ Awards Committee undertakes a thorough selection process each year to identify individuals who have significantly contributed as veteran volunteers. This year, Ms. Hower’s unwavering commitment and inspiring efforts have earned her the prestigious title of Veteran Volunteer of the Year.

Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino is thrilled to announce this honor, highlighting Ms. Hower’s role as an inspiration for all age groups within the community. Her work has left a lasting impact, and she stands as a shining example of selfless service.

Ms. Hower will receive her award at the upcoming ceremony on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 7:30 pm at TOBAY Beach in Massapequa. The event will feature the Salute to America Concert with a performance by Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats, followed by a spectacular Grucci fireworks display.
